As you are all aware by now, the Coronavirus has put an enormous strain on our society.
The measures that the Government and Public Health England have been forced to put into place, will have a direct and immediate impact on how we are going to live and communicate together from now on.
Like other communities, MLJC has been affected by having to cancel the forthcoming services and especially our popular annual Seder evening.
We understand and accept that this has been done to protect and safeguard the vulnerable as well as the healthy in our midst.
As a progressive and all-embracing community we are devoted to the care and wellbeing of our members and congregants.
However, I want to assure all of you that your health and safety is of the utmost importance in the challenging times and if any of you for whatever reason feel the need to contact or speak to any of us on the Council, we will be there to support you in any way we can.
We have a vibrant and active Council that is committed to keep our small community together and informed, and there are many constructive ideas and exciting plans for the future of MLJC. We will keep you informed and up to date in the coming weeks and months.
“Upwards and onwards”, as I always say!
I am confident that we will get through these difficult times together with love and kindness and supporting those who need it most.
Keep safe and healthy and have the best possible Pesach under the circumstances.
Much love to you all.
Yours, Arlene de Vries
